The red-lipped batfish is an unusual looking fish from the Galapagos Islands. It belongs to the family Ogcocephalidae, whose members are commonly referred to as batfish. The name “batfish” is derived from their appearance – they are fish that are said to resemble bats.Batfish from the family Ephippidae usually have elongated fins and laterally compressed bodies.
In contrast, batfish from the family Ogcocephalidae, which the red-lipped batfish belongs to, tend to have horizontally compressed bodies and don’t have elongated fins.
2.The Panda Ant
The Panda Ant is a most unusual species of insect Their name derives from the obvious resemblance to a panda in its markings. This remarkable insect is not even an ant.
The Panda Ant is actually a variety of wingless wasp! They were first discovered in 1938. Very little is known of this little seen insect. They are only known to exist in coastal regions of chile. Their sting is exceptionally powerful for their size. They have been seen to bring down animals as large as cows with only a few dozen stings.
The shoebill also known as whalehead or shoe- bill stork is a very large stork-like bird. It derives its name from its massive shoe shaped bill. Although it has a somewhat stork-like overall form and has previously been classified in the order ciconiiformes, its true affiliations with other living birds is ambiguous. Some authorities now reclassify it with the pelecaniformes. The adult is mainly grey while the juveniles are browner. It lives in tropical east Africa in large swamps from Sudan to Zambia.

The Blue parrotfish is a member of the parrotfish genus scarus. It is found on coral reefs in shallow water in the tropical and subtropical parts of the western Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
On average they grow to sizes of around 30-75 cm in length, but can grow at least as large as 1.2 meters.The males are generally larger than the females, they also tend to develop “humps” on their head. Their range extends throughout much of the Western Atlantic.
This creature is a 22 inch long cyclops shark. yes bizarre, but functioning eyeball is the result of a condition called cyclopia which can also occur on humans. Scientists have documented cyclops shark embryos a few times before, but the fact that none have been caught outside the womb suggests cyclops sharks don’t survive long in the wild.
