Pro-Trump Street Artist Tries to Ruin Star Wars ‘Rogue One’ Premiere in Hollywood

Days before Hollywood Boulevard was transformed into a Star Wars fan’s paradise for the world premiere of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” on Saturday, someone went ahead and ruined the fun.

A pro-Trump street artist named Sabo plastered subverted posters of the new Star Wars film all over the street to remind Hollywood that Hillary Clinton already lost to Donald Trump.

“I’d never seen the mainstream media sell their souls for a candidate the way they did for Hillary, and she still lost,” the Louisiana native street artist told The Hollywood Reporter.

Walls and bus stops surrounding the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood were covered with the parody Star Wars film posters. One fake poster, with an updated title: “Rogue Won: A Culture War Story”, shows a prominent image of Trump as the hero with an image of Clinton, appearing to be his villain in the background. Surrounding the hero are his allies, senior counselor Steve Bannon, TV news personalities Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, Breitbart News tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos, and Vice Media co-founder Gavin McInnes.

Another poster, a parody of the upcoming film “Why Him?” features actor Bryan Cranston, Trump and Clinton in a group hug with the caption: “Of all the guys his country could have chosen … ” Right at the bottom, a line goes, “See you in Canada,” referencing many celebrities, including Cranston, who vowed to move to the neighboring country if Trump won the election.

Sabo usually scatters his posters around his target area before dawn where they would stay just hours before authorities would take them down. He has similarly used his art previously against personalities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Nate Parker, Lena Dunham, Cher and others.

“It does my heart well to know Hollywood went all out producing all kinds of girl-power movies in anticipation of the first woman president only to have their parade totally rained on by a white-skinned, blue-eyed, all-America loving, pussy-grabbing blowhard of a man’s man,” Sabo was quoted as saying.

Trump supporters had earlier called for a boycott of the film for having a multi-cultural cast as protagonists.

“I’ve never seen Hollywood’s panties in such a bunch, and it was well worth the price of a vote,” he added. “To think: Hillary had just about every facet of the media pulling for her. I’d never seen the mainstream media sell their souls for a candidate the way they did for HIllary, and she still lost.”

Still, the event on Saturday night seemingly went without a hitch, despite Sabo’s play on the posters. Five blocks of the boulevard (from Cahuenga Boulevard to Gower Street) were shut down for the star-studded premiere which featured a life-sized X-Wing, a tented red carpet and adoring fans enjoying the night.
