He Was Exploring His New Home When He Found Something Disturbing In The Attic
Buying a new house can be one of the most stressful things you ever do as an adult. Fortunately, all that stress usually culminates in pure happiness.
Sure, the last six months were a pain, but now you’re in your dream home! All’s well that ends well, right? That is, at least, until you discover a hidden room in the corner of the attic that you had no idea was there.
It sounds far-fetched, but that’s exactly what happened to Redditor NukeStorm when he moved into his new house a couple years ago.
While bringing in boxes, he discovered this small door.
No one wants to see that in their new home. No one.
According to NukeStorm, the door was about four feet tall and 1.5 feet across with a metal grate fastened over the hole. Here’s a lamp for scale.
He then went ahead and opened it.
He found a single light, a cot, and a wall with foam padding.
This is a panorama of the room. What the heck went on in here?
As you can see, there’s no doorknob on the inside. Once you’re in, you’re stuck until someone lets you out.
According to NukeStorm, even if you were locked inside and started screaming, there aren’t any neighbors close enough to hear you.
Talk about claustrophobic, am I right?
While there were plenty of guesses in the comments section regarding the room’s purpose, no one has a concrete answer. Sadly, there has not been an update from NukeStorm since the original post. Let’s just hope that he’s not trapped in there.
