This Doctor Saved A Premature Baby — 30 Years Later, That Baby Saved Him
Dr. Michael Shannon — a physician in the San Clemente, California, area — saved a premature baby 30 years ago. The infant was only given a 50 percent chance of survival, but Dr. Shannon worked tirelessly to make sure that the little one pulled through.
The boy he saved, Chris Trokey, grew up to be a firefighter and paramedic in the area. While on the job one day in 2011, Trokey answered a call about a car crash. Once he reached the scene of the accident, he rescued the victim, only to realize later that it was the very same man who had saved his life so many years before.
Whether or not you believe in fate, it’s hard to hear such an incredible story without feeling like something beyond our comprehension is at play.
