DiCaprio’s Choice Of Date To The Oscars Proves How Much Of A Man He Is

Leonardo DiCaprio’s 20-year-quest for an Oscar might finally be coming to an end. Like the rest of the world, we’re hoping he wins tonight because he is more than a deserving winner.

However, despite the star being linked to many women – most recently British model Roxy Horner – he wants his mother Irmelin with him on what could be the biggest night of his career. See what he has to say about his mother below.

DiCaprio, 41, has already won this year’s Golden Globe and Bafta for playing Hugh Glass in The Revenant. At this month’s Baftas, he paid tribute to his mom.

“I would not be standing up here if it wasn’t for this person. I didn’t grow up in a life of privilege, I grew up in a very rough neighbourhood in east Los Angeles.

This woman drove me three hours a day to a different school to show me a different opportunity. It’s her birthday today. Mom, happy birthday. I love you very much,” he said.
